The National Hockey League (NHL) has announced the three finalists for the 2023 Hart Trophy, which is awarded annually to the player deemed the most valuable to his team during the regular season.

The finalists for the 2023 Hart Trophy are Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, and Nathan MacKinnon. All three players are previous Hart Trophy winners, with Crosby winning three times, McDavid winning twice, and MacKinnon winning once.

Crosby, the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins, had a stellar season in 2022, scoring 40 goals and adding 57 assists for 97 points in just 68 games. He led the Penguins to the top of the Metropolitan Division and a playoff spot, and was a major reason for the team’s success.

McDavid, the captain of the Edmonton Oilers, was equally impressive in 2022, scoring 41 goals and adding 71 assists for 112 points in 82 games. He led the league in scoring for the third consecutive season, and was a dominant force for the Oilers all year.

MacKinnon, the star center for the Colorado Avalanche, had a breakout season in 2022, scoring a career-high 53 goals and adding 56 assists for 109 points in 77 games. He led the Avalanche to the top of the Central Division and was a key player in the team’s playoff run.

The winner of the 2023 Hart Trophy will be announced at the NHL Awards ceremony in June. The Hart Trophy is considered one of the most prestigious individual awards in professional hockey, and is voted on by members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.

Fans of the NHL will eagerly anticipate the announcement of the 2023 Hart Trophy winner. Each of the three finalists has had a remarkable season and has the potential to take home the award. Congratulations to Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, and Nathan MacKinnon on their nominations for the 2023 Hart Trophy!
